Interim President, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Bench has served as our Chief Financial Officer since October 2008, and served as the Company's President from 2008 until 2017. Mr. Bench also served as a member of our board of directors from December 2007 through November 2014. Mr. Bench was a founder and since April 1999 has been a managing member of BayHill Group LC, a consulting group focused on assisting microcap companies ("BayHill Group"). From January 2005 until April 2007, he also served as the Chief Financial Officer of Innuity, Inc. (INNU), software as a service company that delivers applications for small business. From November 2000 until August 2004, he also served as Chief Financial Officer of The SCO Group (SCOX), a developer and marketer of software applications and operating systems. Mr. Bench is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor degree in accounting from Utah State University.
Mr. Mac has over 20 years in the Cannabis Industry. 23 Build-outs ranging from 2,000 square feet to over 15,000 square feet. Co-founder of D&S Garden Supplies grew from 1,500 square foot storefront to a 20,000 square foot super store and warehouse. Mr. Mac’s focused areas of expertise include, Zoning and Code Regulations, Construction, Building and Architectural Design, Irrigation, Security Systems, Ventilation/HVAC and CO2 systems, Electrical Capacity, Dispensary, Hydroponic Suppliers, Mechanical, Plumbing Regulations, Fire and Safety, Licensing and Permits. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in electronics from Heald College and speaks fluent Cantonese and Manda.

Mr. Tran has over 25 years’ experience in the cannabis industry including breeding, cloning, cultivation and facility buildout. Eric has overseen the buildout and management of over 50 facilities ranging in size from 1,000 to 100,000 square feet. Mr. Tran has built several successful businesses including Roots Nursery and D&S Garden Supplies, a 20,000 square facility providing gardening supplies to cannabis cultivators throughout California and the U.S.
Ms. Gee has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance, management and real estate acquisition. Ms. Gee currently is co-founder and manager of several cannabis operations in Oakland, California. Her cannabis experience ranges from zoning and code regulations to licensing and permits. She also performs budgeting and forecasting functions, as well as property analysis, for all Oakland cannabis operations. From 2004 to 2006, Ms. Gee served as special aide to Mayor Jerry Brown of Oakland, current governor of California. Prior to that, she was founder and President of Incentive Plus International Travel. She also served as Chairman of the Board. During her professional career, she served as financial advisor to Hill Glazier Architects and EF Education in Sweden. Ms. Gee attended San Francisco State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Ms. Gee also received a Master of Science in Taxation at Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
Dr. John MacKay
CTO, President of 5Leaf Extraction and Elevated Education Operating Subsidiaries
Dr. MacKay is a widely recognized scientific expert in sub and supercritical fluid for chromatography and extraction within the botanical space and his career has included many roles in innovative product development. Dr. MacKay is currently a contributing journalist of Extraction Magazine, a cannabis extraction publication, and Terpenes and Testing Magazine, a publication serving the cannabis industry with cannabis news and science on horticulture, extraction and testing labs. Dr. MacKay earned his B.A. in Chemistry from St. Lawrence University and his Ph.D. from the University of Vermont in Inorganic Chemistry focused on the synthesis of cancer fighting compounds.
Patrick P. Tang
Patrick Tang has over 28 years of leadership experience in senior roles in business development, R&D, technology, engineering, manufacturing, business strategy, and general management in the technology sector. He has held senior management positions in business development, technology sales, operations, engineering, with companies including MacDermidAlpha-Compugraphics, TCE, JCET-STATSChipPAC, Ultratech, IPEC, Perkin-Elmer and Syntex. As CCO, Mr. Tang will oversee all compliance related to the myriad of regulations and licensing requirements in the cannabis industry. He earned an MBA from the University of San Francisco and is a licensed Professional Chemical Engineer with technical training in chemistry, chemical engineering and microelectronics and has taught at the graduate level in business management at the University of Phoenix.
Sandra Ribble, CPA, is a senior financial executive with over 20 years in the consulting practice of Tatum, a Ranstad company, that specializes in assisting publicly traded companies implement and administrate financial governance procedures and practices. Her experience includes CFO and controllership in international public, emerging growth and family-owned companies across virtually all industries. Ms. Ribble has deep expertise with SEC quarterly and annual reporting, internal controls, Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures, cash management, financial leadership, and change management. Ms. Ribble earned her B.A. in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, Sacramento and her Master’s degree in Finance from Golden Gate University, San Francisco. She is a currently active licensed CPA in California.
