Ellen Gee

SVP, Director

Ms. Gee has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance, management and real estate acquisition. Ms. Gee currently is co-founder and manager of several cannabis operations in Oakland, California. Her cannabis experience ranges from zoning and code regulations to licensing and permits. She also performs budgeting and forecasting functions, as well as property analysis, for all Oakland cannabis operations. From 2004 to 2006, Ms. Gee served as special aide to Mayor Jerry Brown of Oakland, current governor of California. Prior to that, she was founder and President of Incentive Plus International Travel. She also served as Chairman of the Board. During her professional career, she served as financial advisor to Hill Glazier Architects and EF Education in Sweden. Ms. Gee attended San Francisco State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Ms. Gee also received a Master of Science in Taxation at Golden Gate University in San Francisco.

Ole Sigetty


Ole Sigetty, has served as a Director since November 2014. Mr. Sigetty is an experienced professional with more than 30 years as an attorney-at-law in Denmark. Mr. Sigetty is admitted to the Supreme Court of Denmark where he appears regularly. Mr. Sigetty is a senior partner of the Law Firm Németh & Sigetty A/S, Copenhagen, Denmark. During his professional work, Mr. Sigetty, has practiced business law and litigation with a focus on M&A transactions, contract law, and public listings. Mr. Sigetty has served on several boards as both director chairman including the position of chairman of the board of Guava A/S, a Danish online marketing company listed on the Danish Share Exchange in the period 2004-2009, director and chairman of the board Norwegian listed entertainment company, Nio Inc., in the period 2012-2013, director and chairman of the board of International Food Science Center A/S and director of MMC Optical A/S, director of Seven Seas Clothing Co. A/S. Mr. Sigetty holds a Master of Arts in Journalism and Public Affairs from the American University in Washington D.C.

Sam Mac

COO, Director

Mr. Mac has over 20 years in the Cannabis Industry. 23 Build-outs ranging from 2,000 square feet to over 15,000 square feet. Co-founder of D&S Garden Supplies grew from 1,500 square foot storefront to a 20,000 square foot super store and warehouse. Mr. Mac’s focused areas of expertise include, Zoning and Code Regulations, Construction, Building and Architectural Design, Irrigation, Security Systems, Ventilation/HVAC and CO2 systems, Electrical Capacity, Dispensary, Hydroponic Suppliers, Mechanical, Plumbing Regulations, Fire and Safety, Licensing and Permits. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in electronics from Heald College and speaks fluent Cantonese and Mandarin.

Eric Tran


Mr. Tran has over 25 years experience in the cannabis industry including breeding, cloning, cultivation and facility buildout. Eric has overseen the buildout and management of over 50 facilities ranging in size from 1,000 to 100,000 square feet. Mr. Tran has built several successful businesses including Roots Nursery and D&S Garden Supplies, a 20,000 square facility providing gardening supplies to cannabis cultivators throughout California and the U.S.

Arthur H. Kwan


Arthur H. Kwan, MBA, CFA, ICD.D, is a well-known Canadian cannabis industry executive who brings over 20 years of investment banking, capital markets, and private equity experience to the NewBridge Global Ventures Board of Directors. He is currently the President and CEO of Canna Income Fund, a private investment firm focused on the cannabis sector. He is also the Managing Partner of Aston Capital Advisors, a capital, financial, and strategic advisory and merchant banking firm focused on the cannabis and energy sectors. He has been involved as an investor, financier, and advisor to several early-stage cannabis companies.

Mr. Kwan began his investment career in 1997 with TD Asset Management and went on to hold increasingly senior investment banking positions with Scotia Capital, PI Financial, and Paradigm Capital, where he was Managing Director, Investment Banking. He has led the origination, negotiation, and execution of many investment banking transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, initial public offerings, short-form prospectus offerings, private placements of equity, debt, and hybrid securities, restructurings, refinancings, and reorganizations. Over his career, he has successfully originated, advised, negotiated, and executed on transactions with an aggregate value exceeding $1 billion.

Mr. Kwan's current and past appointments include on the Board of Directors of High Tide, Inc., which is listed on the Canadian Stock Exchange, and 7LV (private). He also serves on the Board of Advisors of Qwest Funds / AlphaDelta Funds, a public cannabis fund and has been a speaker at a number of cannabis industry conferences. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Simon Fraser University, a Master of Business Administration in International Finance from Wilfrid Laurier University, the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute, and the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. He is also a graduate of the European Summer School for Advanced Management program from the University of Aarhus in Denmark.

Eric Baum


Mr. Baum brings to the board a 20 year history of business and corporate strategy experience across multiple industries including life sciences, cannabis, education, travel, technology and real estate. Currently, Mr. Baum is a co-founder and managing director of Solidea Capital, a private equity and venture advisory firm and a managing director and member of the executive leadership team at Acquis Consulting Group, a management consulting firm that specializes in key service areas. Additionally, Mr. Baum is a founding partner of Summit Holdings, a real estate investment firm and a member of several angel investment groups as well as a member of the Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC). Most recently, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of KushCo Holdings, the nation’s largest and most respected premier producer of vaporizer products, packaging, supplies, and accessories to the cannabis sector.

Mr. Baum actively serves as a Director in several public and private companies. In addition to serving as a member of the Compensation and Audit Committees of KushCo Holdings, he is also a Board member, Chairman of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Audit Committee at ChemioCare, a pharmaceutical company. Mr. Baum graduated as Valedictorian with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Emory University.
